On 1 May 2009, the European Union will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the 2004 enlargement, which involved 10 new Member States. This workshop aims at providing an insight into the functioning of the enlarged European Union and on the impact of enlargement on the old and recently acceded Member States. The sessions will focus on trade, investment, migration and financial market related issues will comprise contributed papers and comments from discussants.
