Έναρξη 09:00 - Λήξη 17:00Confirmed keynote speakers:
Jos Delbeke, Deputy Director General, DG Environment, European Commission
Lars-Erik Liljelund, Special Envoy on Climate Change to the Swedish Prime Minister
With less that 100 days to go before Copenhagen, CEPS and Epsilon organise this major 2-day EU and international conference that will sketch out the state of the EU's preparation for a global agreement on climate change, and will review different countries' positions and priorities towards any deal.
With participation from both industrialised and developing countries, there will also be a debate with policy-makers and stakeholders reviewing the market mechanisms and sectoral approaches being taken. With 200 delegates expected and reduced rates available for CEPS members, this conference will be an opportunity for stakeholders and the key policy and political personnel to come together to engage on these important issues at a critical time.
On the evening of the 21st, there will be a cocktail reception for all delegates and speakers (open to all), which will be followed by an exclusive Negotiators Dinner (invitation only).
There will also be representation from industry, academia, NGOs, plus key personnel from the governments of:
USA - China - Japan - Australia - Russia - New Zealand - India - Mexico - Brazil
