The 16th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008) is organizing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 18 - 22, 2008. WCIT is the pinnacle biennial global forum awarded by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).  Themed The Global Impact of Information and Communications Technology: ENABLE Businesses, EMPOWER Societies and ENRICH Economies, WCIT2008 expected to draw more than 2,500 delegates from more than 80 countries worldwide. WCIT 2008 will bring together global leaders from businesses, governments and academia, which will impact economic and social development through the exchange of policies and ideas on technology.

Several notable speakers have confirmed their participation at this world-class event. They include Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Craig Barrett, Chairman of Intel, Mr. Terry Thoren, creator of the Rugrats, Dr Vinton Cerf, the Father of the Internet, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, the 2007 Nobel Laureate and many more.

WCIT 2008 incorporates a three-day congress, a Link Program for business matching and a series of business-to-business (B2B), business-to-government (B2G) and business-to-industry (B2I) meetings, several ICT exhibitions, a Great Debate and ancillary activities like a golf tournament, motorsport experience, a spouse program and various technical and city tours.
