The agenda on international relations will undoubtedly be at the forefront of world affairs in 2010. The Economist Chairman Dr Daniel Franklin, Executive Editor of The Economist and Editor of the "The world in 2010" Economist publication, will share his vision on the developments and priorities that are shaping the global affairs.

A series of critical foreign policy and security issues will be examined during this year's Government Roundtable, in the light of the need for international collaboration for world stability. The Prime Ministers from southeast Europe will be invited as keynote speakers to address economic, foreign policy and stability issues that are vital for the region. The relations between Greece and Turkey, the Arab-Israeli peace initiative and the Cyprus question once again are at the forefront of the agenda examining the way to move forward.

In addition, the 14th Economist Government Roundtable aims to offer the opportunity for brainstorming among distinguished political and business leaders on the tendencies in the global energy landscape within the next decade, the future energy demand, business opportunities in the Middle East, technological innovations, geopolitical developments, as well as the future of the environment
