Bankrupt discount carrier Spirit ​Airlines is preparing ‌to cease operations, after failing to align certain ​bondholders and the ​U.S. government on a ⁠bailout plan, the ​Wall Street Journal reported ​on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
