SEPE - Deloitte Study: Digital Greece 2025 - From Strategy to Implementation

Study conducted by Deloitte on behalf of SEPE

Deloitte’s study, “Digital Greece 2025: From Strategy to Implementation”, conducted in collaboration with SEPE (Federation of Hellenic ICT Enterprises, Digital Europe & WITSA Member), included primary research with 190 industry leaders and working meetings with SEPE’s Committees.

The study maps where we stand today regarding past SEPE’s policy recommendations, highlights achievements, identifies critical gaps, and proposes targeted actions to accelerate Greece’s ICT sector digital transformation towards 2030.

According to the study, Greece’s ICT industry is projected to reach ~€13.5 billion by 2030 — with ~€27.8 billion in indirect and induced impact resulting to ~6% contribution of the ICT sector to national GDP

Key strategic initiatives to achieve ambition 2030 include:

  1. Strengthening digital skillsfor accelerated transformation of the economy
  2. Promoting applied R&Dto boost competitiveness and future readiness
  3. Accelerating e-governmentby adopting predictive government mechanisms and Once-Only Principle  
  4. Enhancing the ICT sector’s extroversionfor boosting international reach and market impact

Seizing these key opportunities could transform Greece’s ICT sector into a major engine of national digital transformation and economic competitiveness unlocking a future where technology, talent, and ambition converge, and positioning Greece as a confident voice in the global digital landscape.
